Rx for Success at Quitting Tobacco

Every one of my clients has already made sincere attempts to stop smoking, and ‘failed.’ Do you really want to quit but expect (or fear) that quitting will again be a nasty experience??                                        

    Here’s why most stop smoking programs & products don’t work very well:

  • One-size-doesn’t-fit-all! As an individual, personalized treatment works best. Quite frankly, the one-size-fits-all approach is for K-Mart. (My clients are seldom K-Mart shoppers.)  

  • Traditional methods are symptom-based. Withdrawal and urges are symptoms that have causes. But what, specifically, causes them, and why? Do you need to suffer symptoms? (No. Ask me why and how.) 

  • In standard stop-smoking methods (free programs, patches, pills), withdrawal & urges are regarded in outdated ways based on old assumptions about addiction; they are less often based on the most current science and sound clinical experience.

  • Standard methods do not address the habit of smoking, based on the science of habits. The habit is seldom addressed intelligently. How many clinicians really know how to treat a habit?

  • Other programs do not prepare you adequately to quit. This step is critical for successful quitting! I coach my clients over a 12 week period, and we prepare your body and mind for virtually symptom-free quitting. If you're in a hurry, my coaching is probably not for you.

The Solution¾ Your Rx for Success: 

    To recover from the addiction to cigarettes, I'll coach you about the true nature of addiction and give you useful, powerful, and practical tools for avoiding withdrawal, urges, and the habit. You’ll use a 15-second urine test—which I send to you as part of the coaching package—to measure when your body is ready to quit, not just when your head is ready!

    I’ve researched, developed, and used a new revolutionary approach to stop smoking that eliminates withdrawal and urges. It’s based on (a) identifying and correcting nutritional and neuropeptide deficiencies that occur as a result of smoking, and/or that may have been there before you started smoking; (b) the use of biochemical rebalancing, for which I provide you with a quick 15-second urine test that you’ll do three times daily. When your body is ready for quitting, you won't feel all the 'negatives' of quitting.

With my coaching, you'll learn:

  • how to break the cycle of addiction, once and for all

  • how to avoid gaining weight—a major concern for many

  • how to avoid feeling deprived, irritable, and jittery

  • how to stay off cigarettes for good

  • how to deal with other wellness issues you may face

    I approach coaching with a specific structure. Smokers need a structure to quit, and that structure has to be based on a sensible marriage of the latest in research + years of successful clinical experience + good coaching skills. Then, recovery will happen. It takes about 90 days. Some programs are considerably shorter, but I’ve found that taking your time to rebalance your body is most important for success. I’ll be quite frank: if you cannot commit to a 12 week coaching relationship, you should not consider me for your coach. 

    My success rate (based on the percentage of people not smoking a year from their stop date) is 91% with individual clients. Better than 9 out of 10 people who have succeeded with my coaching had previously failed with other programs, including nicotine replacement therapies (NRT) like the patch, gums, lozenges, and pills.
