Remember, no two smokers are alike, and stop-smoking coaching is not for everyone. Coaching involves a unique two-way relationship: you must feel comfortable with me and my approaches, and I with you and your commitment to quitting. My success rate is about 91% because I carefully screen my clients, and custom design each client's treatment plan personally in close collaboration with them. That's why a free consultation is necessary for both of us.
Lastly, careful and thoughtful preparation to quit smoking is essential to success, as I discuss in my book. If you're in a hurry to quit or to talk with me NOW, either one of these, in my experience, is a warning that signals failure in quitting. You can expect my response to your e-mail within a day or so to your request for a consultation: I'm very busy and take extreme care and time with each of my clients (which you'll appreciate when it's your turn as a client). I also write and pursue my private interests, but I'm generally available between 9am and 6pm, EDT.
Sometimes, due to demand, I have a wait list. Should this be the case, I'll discuss this with you beforehand. (With the occasional wait list, I send you lots of material to prepare, including your home test kit.)
